TWINKLE TOES
check out the dance moves this guy's got. oh, and also notice the drool patterns that this choreography creates on his little mat. the rhythmic sound effects are his hiccups laid on top of some jazzy music. it seems that the johnny jump can actually encourage a very cultured kind of play.

PILLOWS
for way too long these fabrics have been sitting in my sewing bin next to some uncovered down pillows that we bought over a year ago. well today i finally did the math, cut the fabric, stitched the edges, and ironed the creases and -- voila! -- we have some fluffy new pillows for our couch. and to think, all it took was a glass of sangria and some afternoon sunshine to finish them. sheesh.

MOTHER'S DAY NO.1
this morning, todd, tj, huckleberry, and i walked with the dogs to our new neighborhood farmers market and had a little picnic of freshly pressed apple cider, hand baked pastries, and breakfast burritos. i'd say it was a pretty great way to spend a first mother's day morning.
