PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
although he hasn't eaten any real carrots yet, he's been practicing in his high chair for the real thing. solid food . . . coming soon to a baby near you.

LEAVENWORTH TRIP
our trip to central washington last weekend was so lovely. it was quick -- we drove 5 hours each way and only stayed there for 24 hours -- but we loved the drive and got to swim in a river with our friends from seattle. and since we get to see them way less than we'd like to, it was extra special all around. i guess i was too busy enjoying them, and the weather, and the setting because these are the only photos i came home with (aside from the ones of the wedding).

CROOKED CREEK RANCH
we just got back from a 5-day visit. it was amazing, as it always is. there'll be more pictures and videos to follow, but click these images to see how lovely the landscape is out there. it was greener than i had ever seen it. and just as open as ever.
